TGIF Spring Dance Code of Conduct and Permission Slip
We are excited about our TGIF dance! We hope for it to be a
memorable, special evening for our students. We have a few guidelines to ensure
a safe and appropriate event for all attendees.
Attendees, guests, and parents:
Please read the following and sign at the end, showing your agreement.
Each student attending needs a signed form.
Thank you!
Who’s Invited:
• TGIF middle & high school members plus 2 guests for each member. A guest does not have to be a date. Think about inviting other homeschool friends or kids from other groups you’re a part of to join the TGIF Dance fun!
• Middle & high school siblings of TGIF members are welcome as participants.
• Everyone must register and pay for a ticket!
Dress Code:
- • Semi-formal to formal attire:
- Ladies: Modest is the way to go for this Christian dance: Formal or Semi Formal gowns or dresses no shorter than two to three inches above the top of the knee when standing and slits in dresses should not be above 2 or 3 inches above the knee. No plunging or sweetheart necklines, no strapless, no open backs or sheer panels below the typically bra line. Midriff should be completely covered. Spaghetti strap, and halter tops are ok if dress stays in place and no undergarments are visible. Not sure if your dress works? Email a photo to [email protected] for guidance!
- Gents: Nice dress pants & collared button-down shirts (no jeans, sweats tees, polos, or sagging pants). Jackets, vests, & ties are optional but encouraged!
- Footwear: Clean, presentable shoes like traditional heels (gals) and dress shoes (guys) are recommended. All-Stars, Nike Airs, cowboy boots, etc. are acceptable if they upgrade your look.
Dance Etiquette:
• Be respectful: No kissing, no sitting on laps, and no hugging from behind.
• Dance in a way that fits a Christian event—keep it modest but fun!
• Hand-holding & brief hugs are cool—just keep it G-rated!
